Why are some people complaining? Because the titles Mario's currently starring in are making him less and less of a platformer and RPG star.

Mario's getting money from the jocks who'd normally look down upon us as the kiddy gamers.

The games might be sports but they're still kiddy.

I don't care personally. I find them to be entertaining. I hate sports but the wacky takes on them as seen in these titles make them enjoyable.

This snowboarding thing is nothing more than a cameo and a cheap trick to get people to buy a game they probably wouldn't otherwise. Apparently, it works too.

That's actually true, though my brother planned on buying NBA Street Vol. 3 long before we heard Mario, Luigi, and Peach were in it.
