Nintendo announces Paris Hilton DS

Nintendo has released that Nintendo has stopped working on the "Nintendo Revolution". If you want a Revolution your only choice is to buy the new model the "Nintendo Paris Hilton" covered with diamonds and pink felt- only for Ten Thousand dollars!

Its limited. its only for celebrities who can afford it and like it. Everyone, calm down.

You DONT have to buy it.

And pretty much everyone has said they're not going to buy it, so what's wrong with pointing out how ugly it is?

They are making a big deal out of it, when it shouldnt be.

Basically the same conversation about the Gameboy Micro.

Im just saying that its for people like Paris Hilton or any Pop-culture icon who wants to buy it.

The sad thing is, there's probably gonna be a few people (at LEAST a few) who buy these things for one of two reasons:

1) Nintendo/Gaming fanboyism, wanting everything to do with Nintendo/Games ever.
2) Bling.

The only problem I have with it (besides that it's tacky tacky tacky) is that Nintendo is pretty much endorsing it by selling it at their official store.

I'm a fanboy, but there are times when I just put my foot down and say, "**** this ****!"

Now see I would buy something like that if her face was imprinted on it because I actually find Nicole Richie attractive

I wouldn't think of it so much as Nintendo fully endorsing the product. It's only available at this one store, albeit still in the "public eye." But while they're not hiding it underground or anything, their "World Store" (or whatever label they give it) seems more like a specialty shop anyways, somewhere where you expect to browse through "novelties" like this and only really make a few cheap souvenir purchases.

Of course, the novelties are always there for the limited amount of fans with bucketloads of money who just can't resist adding this weird kind of stuff to their collection. And if you have these kind of customers, I fail to see why Nintendo wouldn't endorse it.

As long as their core business plan doesn't express any of this exuberance, what they're doing in this instance does not stifle me a bit.

What the ****.

Speaking of Nintendo World Store, has anyone here gone there? I would love to take a trip down there, and check it out. Not for the Paris Hilton thing of course...
