A couple days ago, my computer started playing .midi files through only a single speaker (the left). Anybody know how I can resolve this?

I'll research this, but I have a MIDI problem of my own if this topic draws in any "experts" on the subject.

Whenever I play a Clickteam product game on a Windows XP machine, MIDIs take a long time to load up. It's about a 2-3 second pause where the applications freezes up, then starts again. This happens everytime a MIDI is played, and I saw somebody post about a similar issue on the Clickteam forums.

Anybody have a solution for this?

@Jeff: Only MIDI plays through one speaker? Did you check the balance for the MIDI channel in your Windows Volume Control?

@mugenmidget: Everyone has that problem, and it has to do with the Windows API that clickteam uses for playing MIDI. You just have to live with it.

What if you had a computer that supported MPU-401?

...I could've sworn I had checked that, but apparently I didn't because that was the problem. smile.gif Thanks.
