Sprite Compo #55....King of Swing., DK Compo.

First off thatnks for everyone who voted for me and made me win the last compo.
And congratulations to Tragic for second place and everyone else who entered.

And For Compo #55, you have to sprite DK in any style you want.

I don't know.

DK is a bit far removed from Mario, don't you think? Sure, he was in the Donkey Kong arcade game alongside Mario but ever since excepting cameo games they've been pretty separate franchises.

This is debateable, but I suppose if it only allows DK it would be acceptable.

Edit: Hmm well, this is similar to a Wario comp and we've allowed those, so this is okay by me. As long as it's just DK.

Donkey Kong isn't really Mario... Excluding the Mario sports/parties, the only two games he's in are DK and DKjr (There's also all the other games that were made to be like the original DK, but I won't include them). Rare kinda moved DK out of the world of Mario, where he has remained ever since, so I have doubts about whether this is a good comp.

EDIT: And the only way you could make a DK comp is from the arcade game, which was done pretty recently.

I think it's a good idea, and I'll get started on my entry as soon as I have time...

He was and he is still a Mario character, even if he wasn't playable characters sometimes.

I would agree with you if it was about Diddy, but it's not.

Dk is nearly in all Mario games now.
Mario Party, tennis, golf, kart, baseball, football......so he deserves this compo.

He was also in Mario vs Donkey Kong which I forgot about.

Okay, this comp's fine by me.

becasue that game has no relation with mario, not even a cameo.

quite hard to make something in KOS style that's allready in the game.
Might try my ZOMGDidddy style.

King of swing was his title, and I didn't mean the game.
It's like Bowser King of Koopas, so DK king of swing.

@ SSY: I guess you can't, because it's about the new DK, the one in the reference I gave.

You can make any style,k.

You can either make him walk on his legs and arms like in most of the games he's in, or make him walk upright like in DK64, which is what you seem to be doing.
