I need a game engine!

I was wondering if I could get a free game engine to create a game......not a 3d one, one of those like super mario classics. Oh and when you download it make sure it doesnt open with adobe reader because mine doesn't read anything it always says that its a wrong file coded.

...A game engine shouldn't open with Adobe Reader at all.

Then you have something screwed up with either your Adobe Acrobat or your Windows file types settings.

Once you get The Games Factory or Multimedia Fusion, then they should associate those type of files with the programs automatically.

where do i download multimedia fusion?

Do you know what your problem is (perhaps)?
You open the pdf-file and think it's a game.

Everything there also opens in NotePad, but that doesn't mean it opens correctly.

it opens with adobe and i get this message:

"Adobe reader could not open (selected file) because it is neither a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted (for example, it was sent as an e-mail attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)"

that always says that!

Never let it open in Adobe Acrobat. It obviously won't work.

Because you aren't meant to open it with Adobe.

You can tell any program to open any file, and it will try to; but it will not always work.
