I'm going to make a game with 8 directions but I don't know how to make it so the collisions that make you stop actually make it so you completley stop moving... Example: when a player hits a wall and you keep holding the button of the direction of the wall, he'll keep bouncing slightly and won't completley stop.
Do I need to use static movement for this or should I make invisible objects around the player that stops you when you touch the wall or somthing else?
Thanks.
