Since my other Mario engine screwwed up, please don't ask, I'll have to make a completely new engine.

I'm using the Associative Array extension to store certain values. There's four main values we need to see here... Mario Speed, Mario X, Mario Gravity, MarioY. I can store Mario's speed and such, but when it comes to adding MarioSpeed to MarioX (or gravity to Y), I get "Cannot understand expression."

Is there any way at all to work around this besides flooding my game with a million counters? I'm trying to get the Array extension to use it's own values.

TGF user, I must also note, just in case the MMF version is a bit(?) different.

EDIT: And does anyone remember what the IRC channel for this place is? >.> <.< >.>

If the expression cannot be understood, either you are voiding the rules of mathematical notation or you are setting variables to values they do not support.

I suggest you Always set Mario's X to the array's respective value and see if you can add to that value, would that work?

I've got it so Mario's X is always set to the Array's MarioX value and such, but I'm still trying to figure out how to add the Speed from the extension's value to his X, which is kinda like what you said to do. I'm using acceleration and such, so... >.> But I shall try using Mario's alterable B value thing. I do believe the way you said should work, so I'll try that, since it's very similar, thankies. o.o

And I'm guessing I did it the unsupported way. Heh.

Xgoff: Oops! Thanks. >.>; I've got to look around more.
