Rpg Engine! plz help me out., need a 8 direction overhead engine

Hi every1.

First I just want to say that im new to fangaming, and that I dont have to much experience when it comes to game making. Im using the program Multimedia Fusion right now because it seems easy to use. Ok, so I was wondering if any1 could make me a RPG Engine.

Needs:

- 8 Direction movement

- Turn based battle system

- Experience, leveling and all that stuff...

- Make it kinda like Esteban Palacio's RPG engine (the one in the How-To-Section)

- all kinds of RPG stuff

Dont worry about graphics, I can make my own graphics.

I suggest that you learn how to make the engine yourself. It should help you learn how to use MMF in the process.

And you're forgiven, it's just that many many people have been posting help topics in the GC lately instead of the proper forum, and it was getting annoying.

I made one; it isn't so hard, but depending on how you want so many things to be pulled off it could be more and more difficult, my game's real-time elements make it considerably harder...

I don't really understand your question though; is there a particular area of this that's confusing to you?

Yeah you're right.... I can't really make a..... how can I explain it.... an engine where you gain experience by killing enemies and , practically all that stuff that has to do with numbers. So i tried to download the RPG engine from the How-To's section, but I couldnt open it in MMF.

Can anyone help me out with this?

If you don't have much experience with game-creation you won't be making an effecient RPG engine.

I doubt anyone is willing to construct one for you either. :X

Ugh, all I can say to explain those simply enough will make your brain explode.. I think that's way off your league.
