Thought it would be interesting to note this since there were a few topics a while back on hacking this game.

Replace all 1ups with 3up moons? Not very useful but I still want it.

Do Japanese E-cards work with US SMA 4? If not, would they work with an imported SMA4 from Japan? Would an American E-Reader work with the Japanese game? I must know, I wanna import these sad.gif

I like how that card looks, but I don't need it. I can get 999 lives easy anyway, the Dry Bones in World 2 fortress are my friends. wink.gif

Okay Bowser, stop taunting me with these Japanese levels.

Anyway, I'm interested in the Dark Blue Switch, the Yellow Switch, the Green Switch, the Light Blue Switch, and the Red Switch. All these switches, plus the Orange and Blue Green ones, effect the game.

Now if you excuse me, I'm working on a Savestate for SMA4 that has 83 of the 90 levles of SMB3 beaten. The only levels that aren't beaten are the Airship levels. That way, you can see all the overlooked cutscenes of the Koopalings storming the castles of their respective worlds. The ones in Worlds 5 through 7 are interesting. Roy and Ludwig make earthquakes when they land on the ground for the first time, and Lemmy is not on his ball.

By the way, how's Bouche's SMA4 hack (Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Adventure) coming along?

Bouche's been busy with that ever-taunting "Real Life" recently.

Hahaha, oh my lord. RII and I were talking about putting a level like that in PM as a bonus level - floor lined entirely with spikes, and the path across is tricky or in this case nonexistant.

But you do have level savestates and the US ROM. Of course, I can't post it here without having to ban myself.

Speaking of savestates, I hope someone makes a savestate of all these Japanese e-reader levels and switches. Because, that may be the only way I'll ever get to play those, and may you know I am DYING to play those. However, there is a slight gleam of hope with the recent cracking of the e-reader code. Maybe they could post the dot codes (considering they'd work on a US e-reader) to be printed out from that card printing program. Then, hopefully someone would get them into a savestate for all you Europeans and Australians to enjoy.

Don't get too excited, that file just contains stuff like the Haunted House level, Piped Full of Plants, Slidin' the Slopes, Vegetable Volley, etc. all of which I've played before and can likely be found easily across the net.

Don't see any new levels.

Except for the classic SMB levels, I hadn't played them before. New Bowser walking animation wheeee

The battery file still won't work, and I still can't experience W1-2, W1-3, W1-4, and W2-2. I had already asked for help.

Finally got it to work. I quickly took my old SMA4 Bowser sprite sheet with the old walking sprites (custom made using the NES version of Mario's Time Machine as refference), replaced the old walking sprites with the actual in-game ones (from the e-Level "Classic World 1-4"), hurried over to MFGG's Lost + Found section (since it was already submitted to MFGG in the past), and it's now in the process of being back in MFGG in its updated glory. For those who don't play with ROMs, here's a screenshot of Bowser from the level (with one of his walking sprites shown).

You would need:

1.) Japanese Cards
2.) Japanese E-Reader
3.) Japanese SMA4 cartridge.

Sent the savestates to Bouche. He is awed by this.

Apparently it's dead easy to convert the levels to the US ROM. I'll see what happens.
