QUOTE (Trasher @ May 19 2004, 06:17 AM)
Sent the savestates to Bouche. He is awed by this.

Apparently it's dead easy to convert the levels to the US ROM. I'll see what happens.

If that is the case, will it reveal the official names of the levels we didn't get? Here's a list of all the levels we know, including Japanese ones. Star 02-05's names are obvious, based on Star 01's name.

Star 01 - Classic World 1-1
Star 02 - Classic World 1-2
Star 03 - Classic World 1-3
Star 04 - Classic World 1-4
Star 05 - Classic World 2-2
Mushroom 01 - Wild Ride in the Sky
Mushroom 02 - Slidin' the Slopes
Mushroom 03 - Vegetable Volley
Mushroom 04 - Doors o' Plenty
Mushroom 05 - Bombarded by Bob-ombs
Mushroom 06 - Magical Note Blocks
Mushroom 07 - The ol' Switcheroo
Mushroom 08 - Piped Full of Plants
Mushroom 09 - Swinging Bars of Doom
Mushroom 10 - Para Beetle Challenge
Mushroom 11 - ???
Mushroom 12 - ???
Mushroom 13 - ???
Mushroom 14 - ???
Mushroom 15 - ???
Mushroom 16 - ???
Mushroom 17 - ???
Mushroom 18 - ???
Mushroom 19 - ???
Mushroom 20 - ???
Mushroom 21 - ???
Mushroom 22 - ???
Mushroom 23 - ???
Mushroom 24 - ???
Mushroom 25 - ???
Mushroom 26 - ???
Mushroom 27 - ???
Mushroom 28 - ???
Mushroom 29 - ???
Mushroom 30 - ???
PR - Airship's Revenge
PR - ???

I once saw a topic on GameFAQs's SMA4 board that lets you view all spaces of levels. Apparently, 54 e-Reader levels were planned. Unfortunately, I don't remember the GameShark to help you view them. Can someone go to GameFAQs and ask around there if they remember that topic?

I *think* he'd have to manually name them. I'll ask him next I see him.

The names would display as garbled english if I remember right, so we'd have to make them up or translate them, though the names aren't really importaint, are they?

It might give us some clue as to what the levels are like.

Sign the petition

What we really need is the Hard Mode Switch so that people will stop complaining about the Advance games being too easy. Oh, and BRING BACK ROBIRDO!

Importaku took down the save files. Here's why, from a post from GameFAQs:
QUOTE
I took the saves off my site as i have gotten quite a few rude emails from people telling me that they want this or i haven't included enough of that ect and i got pretty fed up of it, plus mentioning that i could be marked for posting links to save files with the ereader levels unlocked.

Obviously i cant do any more of that on here but if you goto my main page of my website i have now added a email button, just drop me a email and ill help sort you out with the files.
At least I got the Classic Levels save.

I'm bumping this topc because I got good news. No, it has nothing to do with saving money by switching to Geico, I promise.

Okay, Importaku has e-mailed me a ZIP file containing a Readme file and 5 savestates; each with up to 8 e-Reader levels. No switches activated, though. I'll post the file as soon as I can.

AWESOME.

Are the levels in these savestates just the classic levels, or what? I'm very interested in getting ahold of these files.

I've played most of the other levels. Here's a few comments:

1. One of the levels has the setting of a beach.
2. One level takes place in a dungeon where you have to use Goomba's Shoe.
3. One fortress level has you racing against time.
4. The Tanooki Suit's statue transformation makes invisible blocks appear and destroys gray blocks.

Awesome, I'm particularly interested in the beach because the first level of Pocket Mario is a beach scene.

And I'm interested because I want those damn beach graphics! Also, it sounds thoroughly badass.

Somebody please post this. You'll make me a happy pirate.

There you go. Enjoy. By the way, the beach level is "Mushroom 15".

On a side note, I was hoping to run into SMW Goombas, pictured below.
user posted image
Unfortunately, I got no luck. Since the Koopa Clown Car was found in a tile viewer, I was wondering how the SMB3 Bowser would blend into it (since in one of the classic levels, when an SMB1 style Bowser was needed, they took the SMB3 one and gave it new animation for walking). Maybe Bouche has answers (provided he's hacking SMA4)?
