Parakarry, you really need to get over that. If it isn't you ripping the sprites, playing the levels, hacking the roms, playing the roms, etc. then you should not worry about it. Other people doing it is NOT harming you in any way, shape or form. You don't find these new things cool just because save states were posted... SAVE STATES ARE NOT ILLEGAL. If they were, don't you think the admins would have removed the links to them by now? And none of this new stuff has to do with hacking so I have absolutely no idea why you're even mentioning the hacking... Any time somebody mentions roms or save states, you over-react about it. If this topic is bothering you so much, try to ignore it.

I swear someone mentioned that in here...

But what I said is what I feel. And like always whenever I say something that isn't agreed on people will never drop it until I look like someone who can't even stand his ground.

Who was the first person to rip [insert ANY graphic here from ANY game].

You seem to have this thing in your mind that whenever someone rips something for the first time, they're worshipped forever. I'll tell you straight off...I have no ****ing CLUE who the first person was to rip any of this stuff. So why the **** are you worried about it? It makes absolutely. no. sense. at. all. I'm not trying to attack your opinion, but I honestly cannot understand, cannot FATHOM your opinion here...you act like the race to rip sprites is a race for credit when half the people here don't even know who was the first to rip what.

Honestly, do you see people replying to [insert person here] saying WAY TO GO, MISTER FIRST RIPPER! Nope. People don't even pay ATTENTION to who rips what first, they pay attention to the SPRITES. I do not give a flying rat's ass who ripped what first, and you know what else? Neither does anyone else. You're the only one I've seen who even cares. You talk about getting absolute credit......what?? MLSS sprites were a big deal when they first came out, right? Do you see people on message boards all across the world going HAIL KRITTER, FIRST TO RIP BOWLETTA'S SPRITE!!! No, and I'll tell you why: nobody cares. And nobody knows who was the first to rip what. I have all sorts of things I've ripped from various games that I've not submitted anywhere because I don't care.


And so what if you don't see what's so glorifyingly spectacular about it, that's no reason to come into the thread all BAH HUMBUG like some kind of grouch. We're excited because we're seeing some classic Mario enemies back. Why the hell does that piss you off? It pisses you off that we think it's cool to see old Mario enemies make a return? It's a big deal to us because MOST of us grew up playing these games, and when we see old favorites like Hoopster the ladybug from SMB2 or the flying piranhas from SMW make a return, we're excited because Nintendo is still aknowledging these old favorites from the past. It might not have the same effect on you if you're not as big a fan of Mario.

I know I've been kinda irritable with you lately and I apologize for that. I just don't understand why you seem to take issue with such trivial matters. I do appreciate that you're not forcing your opinion on other people, but don't attack other people for being of the OPINION that the return of these old enemies is cool.


And I noticed something else...you didn't care about any of this sprite ripping stuff, or at least if you DID care you didn't mention it, until we had the incident where Kritter was (rightfully) admonishing people for downloading the MLSS rom early. After that you just seemed to change completely in regards to all of this. You never seemed to care until he said something about it, and it makes me wonder if you aren't letting stuff like that influence what you think about things.


And about doing things behind the site's back...that's just silly. This site is not a human being, not a mother here to care for all its children. People are going to do illegal things. I don't even want to know how many people at this website download warez or look at porn on a daily basis. But as long as they don't go posting links to that sort of stuff here, it's not my problem, it's not your problem, and it's nobody's business.



I also don't understand why you're talking about not being a fan of the ereader. The fact that we're accessing these levels without using the ereaders should be enough to make that argument null and void. You're not having to pay to get these things.

Sorry if it seems like I'm attacking you. I know I've debated with you a lot lately, and I don't want you to hate me or feel like everyone's jumping on your back. but good lord, man, you're posessed of some of the oddest frames of mind I've seen.

Seriously, calm down about the sprite ripping, you make it sounds like the Russians are bombing something important. If this is how you react to sprite ripping, I'd be terrified to see what happens when someone leaves the toilet seat down in your house.

Anyway, didn't someone say before that the levels weren't on the game and that they were put onto the game through the cards? HOLY CRAP, do you know how happy I would be if Nintendo kept making new levels for the game? NEVERENDING SMB3! =D

Well, I'm pretty sure the levels are already on there.

I mean....you do have memory limitations with the cartridge; even if they weren't on there it'd have to end sometime.

But that's why we have Pocket Mario.

Wait a minute, since we are using save states the levels would HAVE to be on the game already... oops. Then why didn't America get these cards?

The levels are stored in the save battery. The SMA4 rom does not contain any of the eReader levels.

I'd imagine Nintendo never got the sales they needed for localising series 2 to make sense.
