Yeah I guess that's fine since it's a problem. As long as it stays very close to the concept. And that works.

Hmm... some of those sound tricky to program in MMF, but the main reason I enter mini-game competitions is to challenge myself. I'll probably enter this one.

By the way, I'm Yoshimaster, not Yoshiman. I don't really mind it when you get us confused, but Yoshiman seems to mind. ohmy.gif

Some should be easy. I can think of a few.

As for people who aren't entering because they can't think of something, give me a break. You have 500+ Mini Games to use.

Didn't you say the best minigames? As in ones the entire general populace agree are good? Or can it be ones you yourself generally like?

Ones you like. Since we all have different opinions. Which is ANY of them.

Ok. GoldenSonic and I teamed up.
I will start to work on the engine on weekend.
We plan to do lots of games with the bumper balls and maybe some others.
There won't be CPU enemies, but I will try to hack in an online mode.

It will feature lots of characters though. And I MEAN lots.

I guess this'll be hard considering I've never played a Mario Party Game before.

Probably be best if I just waited for the next one.

I guess this'll be hard considering I've never played a Mario Party Game before.

Mushroom Mix-Up and Hexagonal Heat rules:

Abilities allowed - Move, Jump, Hip-drop

There are seven hexagon-shaped platforms, all of a different color. They are all right next to each other.

Toad (or anyone else) will hold up a flag of one of these colors.

After a time period, every platform except the one of the afore-mentioned color will sink. Any players who fall are removed from the minigame.

The delay between showing the flag and dropping the platforms becomes much less over time. Toad may also pull one flag and then switch to another similar to Shyguy Says, which occurs more often as time passes.

Of course, the last person remaining wins. If everyone falls off, nobody wins.

Mecha Marathon

This is the hardest minigame in whichever god damned game this was in. I hated this game. A lot. More than the "rotate the control stick" ones because those are easy.

The four players are seen winding Mecha-Shyguys. The players have a time limit, ten seconds I think, to mash A and B -- at the same time -- as many times as possible during this time period. Whoever does so the most is treated to their Shyguy flying farther than everyone else's in an Olympic yard race. The distance they fly is also proportionate to the number of winds, so if nobody winds at all they don't go anywhere.

The Mecha-Shyguys are also color-coded to their respective characters.

Bob-Omb Basketball

THIS GAME ROCKED ASS

2 vs 2

The players are randomly sorted into two teams, of two players. Each of them guards a basketball hoop, and one player is randomly given the Bob-Omb. If hit or jumped on, the Bob-Omb is dropped and everyone can run to go get it.

The first person to jump and press Attack to fire the Bob-Omb into the basketball hoop wins. The victory animation also destroys the wall and steals the other team's treasure chest.

QUOTE
Platform Peril

All men for themselves

The screen automatically scrolls, pushing characters into the abyss while platforms with obstacles and coins on them appear for the players to jump on. The first person to reach the final platform wins. If you do not press a direction, you stop and you fall off. You can run in eight directions.

QUOTE
Handcar Havoc

2vs2

Both players take turns mashing A and then B in perfect sync over and over to get their handcar to the end. If they fly up a turn too fast without leaning to one side with the control stick, they fall off.

QUOTE
Bombs Away

I am unsure which game this is. I will describe both of the games this title reminds me of.

3vs1

Three players attempt to throw Bob-Ombs -- with horrendous precision -- at their victim, who sails a hexagonal boat along a lake trying to avoid them for the minigame's time limit. If a Bob-Omb lands in his boat, it makes a noise that sounds similar to "HEY HOWS IT GOIN MAN" and then explodes, and he loses.

All men for themselves

Bowser's ship constantly fires Bullet Bills and cannonballs at a tiny island. This island shakes and tilts violently from the waves and the impacts, and anyone standing when time runs out wins -- NOT THE LAST MAN STANDING. If someone is not in the air when a Bullet Bill successfully strikes the island, they are stunned for a second or two and their character will not respond. In later renditions of this minigame, Bowser's ship will launch a massive Bowser rocket at the island as the timer reaches five seconds, impacting just before the end, and anyone not near the peak of their jump when it hits is eliminated.

QUOTE
Face Lift

All men for themselves

Every playable character unlocked -- or Bowser if you get this minigame from his space -- will have their face appear onscreen once for each player and again in the middle. The goal is for all players to attempt to match the middle as closely as possible. They are rated on a percentage scale and the closest to 100% wins. If there is a tie, they both win.
The pieces you can drag are not symmetrical, so dragging one eyebrow does not affect the other. The eyebrows, forehead, ears, chin, mouth, nose, etc are all draggable ala Super Mario 64's intro. (NOT the DS version which does it completely differently)

QUOTE
Slot Car Derby

All men for themselves

The player holds a direction arrow, any of them, to accelerate their car down a slotted track. This track is composed of four slotted lanes, and each racer must go through all four of these lanes in quick sequence to compose a lap. If a slotcar goes too fast in a turn, it spins out and loses valuable time. First person to complete three laps wins.

QUOTE
Bowl Over

3vs1

One player hurls a Koopa Shell at a bunch of pins. This shell travels a winding path and responds to the Control Stick for its movement -- it is very slippery. Three of the pins are the other players, and they can try to hop out of the way with the Control Stick and jump button.

QUOTE
Bumper Balls

All men for themselves

Players control very slippery circus balls and attempt to bounce the other players off of their platforms. The arenas you can use vary -- you may get a beach, Bowser's Castle, or a very very slippery snowcapped mountain. If the time limit runs out, there is a tie

Hey, what's that one minigame where you're all on a floating island and Bowser shoots cannonballs at you and you scramble around trying not to fall off?
