sketches among sketches among sketches, 56k warning

so I've been sketching a lot. and a lot of these are unfinished, but I feel obligated to show my progress to someone. so here it goes.



so this one started out when I was trying to design three new characters for... I don't know, something, I felt unoriginal and had to do something.





then these two came afterwards.



then I threw a coat on the other guy to give the three a sense of unity. this idea didn't go far, though.







then I started trying to give them more fantasy-esque designs, to parallel their normality. not that the guy with the bandages really needed it...



soon I dumped the third character and started working with these two, giving them a bit of a background together and developing a small, rough story in my head. and that's the end of that.



now this guy has been a character of mine for quite a while. back before I started using an anime style for everything, I had to transform him into more of a human rather than whatever he was before in my cartoon style. his mask is cool though.



a picture of Eve. testing out styles on the front of the face. no big deal.



and to top it all off, a nice pirate Mario inspired by the drawing competition. the one I didn't check until a day before the deadline. son of a *****.

now people better notice this or I'm going to be pissed cause I worked hard on this topic (sort of). >:(

Awesome work. Mario looks like a common plumber, sweetness again. Alot of your work is badass or just amazingly cute. Keep it up!

Awesome collection of cool anime characters. I can draw anime good in the computer, but when I draw by hand, my anime characters looks like crap.
My favorite is the Mario pic.

Looks neat. You're getting a lot better at this. Cleaner too.

Your style's not bad; I like the fact that the girl with the scythe has her face covered and struck with needles. I never thought up of that.. .__.

The hands and diversity need a little work though x(

It's a dude. In fact, I only draw chicks on rare occassions. >_>;;

yeah, a lot of my characters look alike, I've been told. Maybe I need to give them more distinguishable features. and hands are hard anyways, along with feet.

You can overrexaggerate the anatomy of the characters to make them more diverse I guess.. try to detail the costumes if you can
