Picked up Mario Party 7 two days ago

Not the worst but far from the best.



Not surprised? I'm not.
The only thing new is the 8 person mode which even then isn't that exciting. The music, which is usually good is pretty bland this time. The AI has always been bad and I've serious been holding out for some improvement. Yet I still have yet to see it. You can have a Hard bot on your team and still lose to a team of easy. (It's happened several times and it wasn't my fault in all cases)
The boards are again, nothing new. They may be somewhat interesting but still nothing that different. China and Vinnece not included. The mini games are starting to repeat. They may have different names and different items in them, But yet they feel the same. (Example, Bumper Balls only you're in hover crafts)


I would rate this higher but they keep bad things such as stupid characters like Boo. They've kept the orbs which I would rather see items. And finally they've changed the Bonus Stars at the end so there is no way you know what the three are. Might be most red spaces or bought the most orbs. This means no more planning head.

This is not new. Mario Party 2 also had repeated minigames (I remember Mushroom Mix-up being in the game, only you're on hexagons instead of mushrooms).

Yes but that game clearly stated that it had taken the ones you loved from Mario Party.



This one claims they are all new.

This repetition of mini-games and stuff is basically why I lost interest in all Mario Party games after Mario Party 3.

Hrm. So Mario Party 7 isn't that great of a game?

What they realley need is to add not one, nor two but ten new characters like:
Baby Mario adn Luigi.
The ACTUAL koopaling. (larry morton, iggy eyc.)

WHERE'S MARIO PARTY DS!!!????!!!!!

I just want them to repeat running of the bulb from mario party 1...
