AIM closes when I receive IMs

Every time I receive an AIM from someone the window gets so unresponsive that it doesn't let me see the message and then it gives me an error message that says AIM needs to close. However, AIM works find when I send someone an AIM. This is a very annoying error because people who IM me will go "WTF" when they give me an AIM and I sign off afterwards. How do I fix this?

try uninstalling aim then re-installing.
try upgrading aim.

if neither of theese works try reporting the problem to the AOL staff....

Reinstalled it (and found a perfect time to change my AIM name in doing so), but I'm still getting some of the same problems.

Well I say wait awhile, if the problem still happens then maybe you should get trillian...

have you scanned for viruses/spyware/trojans recentally?

if not you probobly might consider doing so.

has your hard drive been defragmented recentally..
you may consider this as well..
(although drive fragmentation rarely causes seriose problems. defragging does make the system run more smoothly)

AIM just closed on me when Msonic gave me an AIM.
And it's trying to keep me from sending me an AIM to him as well ;_; Though it does let me send AIMs sometimes.

Okay, is THAT really necessary outside of the PPP?
