I like the effect you use with the counters.

You need to do something about Mario's run meter, it increases too slowly.

Sometimes when rotating the menu the value goes below 0, and it's set to detect the value between 0 and 360.. so it causes some problems, sorry ;;!!!!

Since you use transparencies, you should use events that check for the one is the least transparent, and use the Shift key to select it that way.

What the? I started the option "New Game," and it does the cut-scene, and goes to the level. But there's nothing. Just Mario, the background, and the front stuff. I just keep falling to the bottom of the level.

So far, this game is extremely good.
But you need to make that cutscene skippable. Sometimes it gets stuck and you're forced to restart the game to continue.

So for all you that it didn't work for before, download again, and tell me what new bugs come up T__T

Things I noticed
(Koopa's dying animation simply makes them stand on their head.. forever..
(A tile is missing on the second level...

But it's a demo, supposed to be buggy and unfun, lemme alone ;;!!!!
