Okay, so whenever someone in our home uses the Phone our internet gets disconnected for about a minute.

We suspect this is because the modem isn't plugged in the "1st Phone Outlet" or something, and we're going to try that, but it's gonna take a while. So i want to know if you know whats wrong, or if it is what we suspect. Thanks in advance!

Maybe the internet company switched phones or or maybe it's a dialup connection, cuz dialup connetions stops internet if you used the phone.

Does your internet mess up if all your phone jacks aren't filtered? And of course there is the obvious suggestion do you dial up...?

Your using Micro-filters right?

If not, then thats your problem. Micro-filters filter the internet signal and the phone signal, allowing you to use both at the same time. Usually you only need to apply a Micro-filter to the phone socket used for the internet connection itself, but ive seen people who've needed to apply them to all their phone sockets.

Hope that helped Shaw ^^

Same thing happens on this PC, although it only happens with one phone in our house (Yes, we have three linked up btw). I didn't set up the broadband, so I'm not entirely sure how it works, but each used phone point has a thing that allows the internet to keep running. The one with our phone isn't set up right, so I imagine that's what's happening to you.

Your phone and your internet COULD possibly be on the same line.

Of course, even with DSL that shouldn't even be happening. I know at my place we had DSL before we switched to cable. But when we had the DSL, we had it on a separate line just to ensure that the phone system and the internet wouldn't interfere with one another.
