Hmm... Site won't load for me. Can we get a quote, William?

QUOTE
"Just because it is rated mature doesn't mean you shouldn't buy it for your kids," 50 Cent told Reuters yesterday. "Play the game and explain to them what they are playing."

Well, actually, Mr. Cent - may I call you 50? - actually, sir, most parents agree with the ESRB ratings, which means they think that "M" is most definitely not for kids.

But you're a parent, Mr. Cent, and you can make the decision for yourself.

I make fun, but really, I understand what he is saying. Some kids are going to be mature enough, even if they are under 17, to play games rated M. And if a parent agrees with that decision, there's no reason why they shouldn't let the kids play. My friends and I were often taken to see R-rated movies as teenagers; My parents didn't mind the rating so much as the quality of the movie (The Godfather was fine; Porky's was not allowed). 50 Cent has a point about games - even M-rated games - having some potential for education. Can his own game Bulletproof be so classified? I'm not sure.

On the other hand, we are talking about a man who thanked "marketing" when he won an MTV Video Music Award in 2003. Who thanks "marketing"? What about the fans on the street? Your neighborhood? No, he thanked his producers and "marketing." So, perhaps his appeal for parents to buy copies of his new game Bulletproof is really just...marketing.

Seems like the lead poisioning has rotted away his brains, no wait, that was when he first came out...... huh.gif

If this game turns out to be good, I'd be very surprised and there will be of course, a fercious ad campaign that would make an EA game freak out! laugh.gif

Though, I have a tiny bit of hope for his movie, as it has a supposedly good director on board, not that I go see in the cinema, though. cool.gif

Before I make any ignorant statements bashing this, I'll take his word from it that maybe kids could learn something for it (that still doesn't mean it's meant for kids though). I really know nothing about the game, and cannot say anything else about this.

He doesn't really care, but 50 knows how to create hype and sell himself, and his products. I've seen that evident from his last three albums.
Anyway, he does stuff like this all the time to promote sales, usually.

Yeah, I might give this game a try if it has an option to turn the music off... Looks kinda interesting. Its funny though, everyone is all asking me if they can use my ipod at school and then giving it back asking me what playlist I keep all my 50 Cent on.

Hahahaha yeah, they just kinda put the thing on shuffle and get scared by my music. All it was was Atreyu, and this one guy was all 'AAAAAAAAAAAAH THIS IS TOO HEAVY THIS HEAVY METAL IS TOO HEAVY FOR ME HEAVY METAL'

You know, fitty could think they were talking about The Game in the interview and not Bulletproof. Maybe he was stoned off his face. And I think its funny how in the title of this topic it says '50 cents'

I noticed that too, but I didn't bring it up because it didn't seem like a huge issue, and I didn't think anyone would really give a damn. :p

That's interesting, because when I went to EB Games a few days ago, this dad picked up the PS2 control and gave it to his 3 year old son, and he was giving advice from his side on how to play Bulletproof. XD

He was 3 years old, so that amuses me.
