Split screen, Help ME!

Do you make games using gamemaker? If you do please tell me how to do split screen. On MFGG it has all these great tatorials but not a single one for game maker. Email me! Put me out of suffering.

Splitscreen is easy.

Just take two views and set the parameters of the Port on Screen as following:

View 1 (follows the 1st player):
X: 1, Width: Half of complete width -1
Y: 0, Height: Complete height

View 2 (follows the 2nd player):
X: Half of complete width + 1, Width: Half of complete width -1
Y: 0, Height: Complete height

You have to calculate the sizes yourself, since I don't know the size of your game window.

Here we go.

You have to set the views' width values to the same as the port width (half screensize -1)
You can find the edit field over the previously mentioned ones.

And to have one view follow Mario and the other Luigi, you have to set one view's object to Mario and the other one's to Luigi.

And also if you have a background color it might probably not work for some reason, so set a background image instead of the color, but it isn't nessecary, I just have this feeling that it COULD be needed. So I hope it works without bg aswell, but if not you know what to do.
