I would pick (for people whom have NEVER made a game and have $33 to spare, get The Games Factory. For people whom have'nt made a game and want a FREE program with less power (excluding the 3D capabilities) GameMaker would work for you.
Now i personley would reccomend if you have proggraming expeirience and $60 and want an impressive yet simple program, get DarkBASIC. I you want true 3D (with some limitations) and you have $35 Then get the 3D Gamemaker. And finnaly, if you want to make impressive (First Person Shooters only) yet very beautiful games, FPS creator is for you.

There's ALOT of other programs they offer including FPS Maker, 3D Gamemaker, and DARKBasic here.

Point of note: TGF was made or at least further developed by Clickteam after Europress stopped any and all releases of the program on their own behalf.
