Well for one thing, a little proofreading goes a long ways:
"How Can I Make My Engine Not Suck?"
"so how can I make my engine"
"Racer: [Spolier] Waluigi [/Spoiler]"

Next, what are you using to make your games with? The Games Factory? Multimedia Fusion? Game Maker? C++?

Ok, thanks...

I'm using Game Maker

Guinea and I can help there.
Making a good engine takes lots of practice.
I myself just managed to scrape an A+ with the Legend of MFGG; it's hard work and won't be finished anytime soon, trust me...
Tell me what kind of engine you're making, and I'll try and make sure that it doesn't 'suck'. And you're gonna need to start learning GML; it's an important bit. I don't know very much myself, but with what I know I might scrape one or two good demos/tutorials for you. Oh, and good luck in your quest. wink.gif

By making lots of random **** in the program experimenting with certain movements and stuff for a few years.

That's how I got to where I am in MMF. :X

Actually, I was hoping for an engine just like yours!
