While working on Bubble Baby, my game, on MMF, I was testing a level and some of the events would not run. For instance, when you got a powerup, Baby Mario wouldn't power up. sad.gif I think this is because MMF can only have a certain amount of objects per level. Do I have to size down my level, or is there another way to get the events to run without getting rid of some of it? huh.gif

MMF (1.5 at least) can support like 10,000 objects per frame (considering your computer will want to handle that many), so that's probably not the problem

You probably have conflicting events somewhere

I'll check for that. Does "number of objects at runtime" allow more objects to be in the level without causing problems?

Yes

Just don't go overboard

Okay, perfect. Now, my last question is: is there a way to find out the number of objects in a level?

Make a counter, then:

Always
--> Set Counter to: NObjects ("[whatever object you want counted]")

NObjects only handles a specific object though, so you'll probably have to use addition if you need more than one type of object.

I knew how to do this, but thanks anyway... it's a shame that there are about 50-60 different objects in each level of the game. Oh well. TGF actually had a Total Object Count... not that I'm saying TGF was better. *coughMMFkicksTGF'sasscough*

Thanks so much! I upgraded the amount of objects the level can hold, and it seems to be working just fine. biggrin.gif
