Help to identify some (Beta/Unused?) YI Sprites.

Please note that these don't have their normal palette.

1:
I have no idea about this, but I think that the second sprite of Row 2 is the purple little dude who spits those bubbles, and the first sprite is a some kind of a Lantern Ghost...

2:
No Idea on this either.. I don't remember any bob-ombs or small snifits in the game..

3:
As far as I know, there wasn't any dead/sleeping Marching Mildes on the game.. And the other one, I have no idea..

4:
This was found near Baby Mario's tiles, and I don't have a clue what it is..


Feel free to try to recolor them to get their perfect palettes..

I replaced some of the palettes with ones found on sprites that are similar to those you posted, and I can now identify a few. The palettes aren't correct, although some may be similar, but this was as close as I could get using other references:



(Clockwise direction)
Lanten ghost?, spikehead being hit with egg, tap tap dying? Small snifit, marching mallow sitting? something japaneese, that flower head thing, two bombs (One I think those monkeys throw at you), a white circle?, the spikey ball thing that shyguys throw around sometimes (It's usually uses fake 3D stuff to make it pixelate when it comes close), talking blocks, the head of that purple thing, and some rock perhaps?

So I think you found a few unused tiles there.

The smiley face is the face of the giant flower in the game that shoots out its petals.

And the second sprite, the spiked-head guy, is what he looks like when you hit him with an egg or something.

The Snifit looks like it might be a ghost...like those Shy Guy ghosts you encounter later on.

But uhh.. Since when did message boxes have mustache..?

They don't, in any of the playable levels. I seem to remember those being descovered by someone else, but I'm not sure who. I've never seen a lot of those sprites before though.

And that pink thing that I said was a rock of some sorts, maybe it's a seed that drops into the ground and sprouts those flower platforms?

Maybe those angry looking message blocks were fake blocks or something. Remember the fake flower enemy? Imagine hitting a message block and it turns into an enemy.
