I was scared of the evil guy from Roger Rabbit. I know that's a movie not a video game but still. I was scared to DEATH of him and whenever he came up I would punch random keys on the VCR O.o

Wall masters from Oot. I used to think the whush sound they made was the wind outside my house. When I saw one grab me I thought my game was posessed.

Does OoT's Forest Temple count as a character

because otherwise I don't think I was really scared of any videogame characters

Doom was the closest thing to being scary early on; but I was never really scared of a game until later on in life, I'm a total horror movie pansy and playing Resident Evil 1 (remade for GCN) for the first time was a terrifying ass experience for me. I screamed, I paused and took breaths; even turned the game off because of my stress level a few times, and now I own them all and have grown addicted to this sensation

wallmasters, floor masters, these green alien slugs in duke nukem that you'd find randomly sometimes and they'd jump onto your face and start biting you like a metroid or something... ::shivers::

And I don't know about any of you, but when I was little and beat a difficult or scary boss, especially when on my last ounce of life, I'd be ecstatic but could feel my hands shaking from the difficulty/awesomness/excitement from winning.

I'm a coward, I get startled easilly from things that come out of nowhere. I couldn't play OoT when I was younger because I got raped by a Skullita(sp?) in the Great Deku Tree, and then when I had my cousin beat it for me, I played.... what was it, I can't remember, but a flaming Keese(sp? again) flew at me and... well, scared the crap out of me. Those pale in comparision to that Vern thing or whatever in Orb 3D. I was young when I found it mashing random buttons.... I almost had a heart attack, and to this very day I refuse to even look at that game's cart.

Things don't really scare me nowdays, but I remember getting a shock the first time that RE2 used its music effectively, in the way that it has a quick highpitched note and the camera flashes and you see zooombehs, but it was more of a 'hahaha holy **** that was cool' moment then a 'OH MY GOD NEVER PLAYING THIS AGAIN' moment... When I was wee, things would scare me, but I was just a kid so it was okay ;D I used to be deathly scared of most FPSseses, but mostly Wolfenstien 3D, that being the first one I played... I would venture through and then that ****ing giant women who screamed 'NIGHT NIGHT!!!!!' or something and came out and killed you scared me lotsly.

OoT really frightened me when I was a kid. In fact, do did Banjo-Kazooie, and Super Metroid. As well as Starfox 64.

The thing is, I always wanted to explore more of OoT no matter how scared I was. I don't remeber why, but I somewhat liked being scared of video games, and OoT did make me jump at parts.

I was scared of the Eel in SM64, and the level in general. I was creeped out about the endless stairs too, and was always startled if you didnt get enough stars for a door.
