I just got a wireless router. My internet works through an ethernet, and it DID work from a wireless point. then It just stopped working. any ideas?

Nevermind I got it to work now. But I still need help.

I'm trying to get the wireless to work on my mom's laptop. Her laptop already has a wireless card, but it doesn't get inter wirelessly. It also works with an ethernet from the same wireless router. It says on here computer that the wireless connection is not open when I check it in Network Connections. When I want to choose a wireless network it syas that none were found. then it says to make sure the wireless switch is on.

Any ideas on that?

See if there's any way to change the channel the card uses

Ok nevermind again. I got it to work. I had to turn on the adapter thingy. I went to the router website and downlaoded something that activates the connection. It told me how to turn on the wireless card. delete/lock this topic now if you wish.
