So McDonalds is the WiFi center all over the US, yes? well do I need to buy anything in addition to my DS and games to use these places? and if so what should I be looking for?

also I want to play against someone...anyone up for a good race?

Anyways, you don't need anything other than your DS and a WiFi enabled game. Just go to your WiFi Connection Settings screen, and search for an access point. It should come up if the McDonald's your at has WiFi.

Just check http://www.nintendowifi.com to see which McDonald's has WiFi and any other info you need.
