Tape Recording.

...ugh. My mom has been tape recording me and my sister. I do NOT feel comfertable about it. I'd rather live out on the street then live with her and be tape recorded all day. I say embarrassing things I wouldn't want the world to hear. What are your opinions on tape recording? Do you think she has the right to tape record me? What would you people do if you were tape recorded? I'm going to snap the tape recorder in half, and ruin the tapes as soon as I find it, I don't care if I get in trouble.

EDIT: I just found out, it's not only my mom. My dad is in on this. This is so unlike my dad

edit: play ytmnd music/noises 24/7. You know it makes sense.

I'd hide an X-acto knife blade or other sharp object in the recorder and postion it so it would slice the tape ribbon in half. Then they'd either have to buy a new recorder (since most parents won't bother trying to fix something) or tape the ribbon back together (which would get old after a while, and the recording would be distorted and hard to understand)

She records EVERYTHING. Now everyone can hear me do embarrassing things like burp, fart, and kid around and sing. I've had it. I can't take this emotional abuse anymore. I want a foster home. I've heard foster homes are horrible but ANYTHING is better than this s***.

From now on I refuse to obey my parents I wonder what will happen?

Problem is I don't know where they hide it. As soon as I find it I'm breaking it over my knee and I'm going to EAT the tape ribbon.

Check behind dressers, computer desks, under your beds, closets, etc.

IE places you don't normally look for stuff

EDIT: and it can possibly be one of those extremely small ones too

Yes. I've been looking for it and I've yet to find it. Now my dad says he's going to have it on him at all times, I'm going to take it out of his pocket in his sleep

Snap. It's most likely like the mini recorder I have beside me here.


But then again, if it's like mine, once it runs out of tape, it makes this really loud "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP" noise. Stay in your room as long as you can and wait for it. Then you'll hear it and should be able to find it.


If all else fails, you could always sue your parents for invasion of privacy.


Meanwhilst, I'll be doing experiments with mine to see if I can somehow interrupt it's recording wirelessly or doing something to make it totally screw up with noises.

Heeey... Maybe they're not really recording you, and they're just saying this to scare you. I doubt anyone would have the time to listen through hours of recordings, everyday. If they are recording you they're probably just doing random checks. And/ or archiving every hour of sound that goes on in the house... Only your parents will be listening to the tapes right? (assuming you don't find them first)
