Haha yeah, trace your history to this forum... To this topic, and maybe they'd even join! Maybe they joined months ago when you first started coming here! Maybe they've been trying to fit in as a popular MFGGer! Named Caramellos <3!

Mason, I want to have a word with you after dinner tonight.

I told you dude...

:d I've had random things like this happen to me or my other siblings before XD
They're usually not going to be very er... what's that word ... dedicated? o_O To things like this, I doubt they'll have the time etc to listen to EVERYTHING.
They might tape you a few days or so, just act normal, if you're really afraid that things you do are too embarrassing then do something quiet for a few days ... maybe read a book? :x Maybe move around in the house too, I don't think they'd have recorders everywhere, maybe talk to them about it, seriously. If you've got nothing else you could use the don't you trust me ;_; tactic, but yeah. XD

QUOTE (Mason @ Jan 23 2006, 05:54 PM)
...ugh.  My mom has been tape recording me and my sister.  I do NOT feel comfertable about it.  I'd rather live out on the street then live with her and be tape recorded all day.  I say embarrassing things I wouldn't want the world to hear.  What are your opinions on tape recording?  Do you think she has the right to tape record me?  I think she's a b****.  What would you people do if you were tape recorded?  I'm going to snap the tape recorder in half, and ruin the tapes as soon as I find it, I don't care if I get in trouble.

EDIT: Sound recording, no visual.

EDIT: I just found out, it's not only my mom.  My dad is in on this.  This is so unlike my dad sad.gif

That is just plain out wrong, and disturbing.

I'd contact child services.

They are breaking a human rights law, you are entitled to privacy and if they are imposing on your privacy they can be legally charged for it.

I've never heard of people doing this before, and I find it shocking.

I just gave an example on a previous page about how counseling actually did help my parents change their minds about the internet. :P You never know, it might work for him too.

And like I said before, child services wouldn't do anything, tape recording him could be seen as nothing more than a particularly extreme example of his parents protecting him. Parents have the right to do stuff like that sadly, especially if they have reason to believe their child is doing something he shouldn't be.

adffdfdadfs why don't people pay attention to the "you have to be over 13" when they join

That little checkmark saying "I agree that I'm 13" isn't just a little decoration to click on.

Things like this happen because people go on forums at too early an age.

If they're just audio tape recording him though, it probably doesn't have anything to do with the internet.

Unless of course Mason has a habit of announcing, out loud, what he's typing.
