I think I am suffering from clinical depression

I am always turned down and made of fun by my siblings. I am always being called stupid. I have had suicidal thoughts. I have felt that my family could do better without me.


So I just quickly took an online depression test thing. It said that I show symptoms of moderate depression and that I am in danger of hurting myself.

I need some help or something.

Do people do it in jest or do they seriously find you stupid?

What have you told your parents?

Try not to hurt or kill yourself. And try to seek counseling...that's all I can think of right now though.

First of all, online tests are never as good as what a doctor can tell you.

Also, trust me, your family needs you, it would feel empty without you there, despite what you may think your family thinks of you.

Before you seek counseling, have you told you parents and other family members how you really feel?

The test just tells you if you are showing symptoms.

I think we need a little bit more information concerning how his siblings and other people treat him.

Is it a daily thing? What are the things they say exactly?

well, as far as I can remember, they have been acting like this since I was maybe 5 years old? And Whenever I tell them that I don't like it, they just ignore me.

My advice: Deal with it. Keep living. Stick it to anyone who tells you otherwise.

What teen HASNT had a sign of depression?

Hmm...well it seems maybe counseling wouldn't be such a bad idea after all...

my problem is that i've just been ignoring it. I've kinda made it worse on myself.

Anyways, Aku, if you haven't told you parents yet, I would definitely tell them now.

There's feeling down, and feeling depressed.

Depressed is an overused word by those who are merely feeling down "lol *insert guy's name* doesn't like me im depressed". Real depression is not getting out of bed in the morning, not sleeping at night, and when more severe; thoughts of self-harm and suicide plaguing you.

I suffer from depression. Ive cut myself before looking for an answer. It was dumb. I got help. It helped.
