Do you happen to have any suggestions on what may be the easiest to use (and still functional) MIDI maker? If not, do you have any suggestions on an alternative to making my own music? It's going to have to work with MMF...

Anything but modplug tracker... I simply do not understand how you're supposed to time the damn notes. Everything I tried ended up playing together.

In Tracker, you enter a note by loading a WAV file in the Instruments tab.

If you do not have an Instruments tab, you are using a file format that doesn't have Instruments, and you can use the Samples tab to do the same thing.

Then you go into the Pattern editor, select an instrument with the arrows on top, and select the leftmost side of a cell and press a button. Each row is an octave, \ is the second octave, and the middle one is the currently selected octave

ie. Q, C, and A play C-X. if your currently selected octave is 5, Q plays C-4, A plays C-5, and Z plays C-6

Anvil Studio. Free and works with or without a keyboard. It comes with instructions on how to use it.

I attached an old, but really easy to use MIDI Maker called Music Sculptor.

It might still be on a website somewhere, but this is easier.

I suggest NOTEWORTHY COMPOSER, it's the best I think, you write out it sheet music style, if that's your bag. It's free, but the demo only lets you "save" a NWC file a certain number of times (9 times each, but that doesnt stop you from copying and pasting it all into a new one and saving it if you want to preserve the EXACT way you wrote it that badly), but that doesnt matter, because you can save MIDI's as much as you want

the only thing that is bad about it is percussion is tricky to do. So I suggest you use a mixture of a few programs if that's what you want.
