I'm 19 as well and I've being getting ' feeling old ' since I was 17! Anyways, I was quite a strange child, sometimes normal, sometimes odd, I miss a lot of stuff. * I used to eat Dirt... literally! No, I never swollowed but I actually used to put dirt into my mouth! I never gave a toss about infections! * Cardboard boxes... the best thing ever! Theres a one or two embrassing photos of me making used of such things from when I was a child! I once made a town out of cardboard boxes and actually SET ONE ON FIRE and used a toy firetruck that could squirt water to put it out! * BEING HYPER - ACTIVE! If you gave me coke, you were making a BIG mistake, I'd be running up the walls, almost literally ( Maybe it is ironic I'm a Matrix Fan these days ) * Drawing, almost every chance I got to, I did, whatever that was on paper or on windows of a Bus! Little wonder I was considered the best at drawing in my class at one point! * I've being a bit of a computer freak since childhood, one time, when I was 6, I was at an uncles and ran off down to my grandmothers down a hill to play her computer, worrying the hell out of my father! It was that very computer from which my love of computers came from, whenever I was at her house, I was always on it! * Although I never lasted in the Cubs or Scouts ( I was simply too young to take orders in a military manner! ), I lasted in the Beavers until I was too old for it. Good times there was in it. Prehaps my only REAL socail thing I did outside of school when I was a child, with me being shy and addicted to SNES. * Be afriad of, even hating girls! I can quite explain why, they just scared me! * You should have seen me when I got Yoshi's Island for my 10th birthday! I actually slept with it that night! I had rented it like 8 or 9 times over 2 months beforehand, I went nuts when I saw it my local rental store when it came out, it was more expensive to rent than the others and so my brother had to go back up home with me to get more money because I WAS NOT going to rent ANYTHING else! * The ONE time in my entire childhood where we got a REAL snowfall, one that was actually worthy of being called a snowfall! Where the Snow was deep enough to crunch your feet in! I also miss not being so fussy about hot or cold, I'd got in freezing weather in fairly light clothes and vice versa if I could! * I always sat on the floor in the living room at night. WHY? Back when I could draw whenever and whereever I wanted without the fear of being told ' Thats childish, be sensible, draw a tree! ' whenever I wasn't playing SNES, the living room was my base of operations for drawing. My early drawings of Yoshi look nothing like him but over time, they improved, my drawings of Yoshi actually look like Yoshi now! * Having fun with insects, God knows how many of the poor critters I killed over my childhood. Man, for a shy, inward child, I can remember quite a lot of good stuff from my childhood! I always try to stay in touch with my inner child, too bad my family seem to disapprove of this.

Did you actually expect something here!?

| QUOTE (Naoshi @ Feb 2 2006, 03:50 PM) | OH MY GOD I remember that ;_;
I last time I saw them was like 2/3 years ago (...yes you heard me) but I saw the SA-Sonic not the classic sonic.
I used to remember the days when Sonic and Mario were popular in my old school back when I was in Kindengarden.
I remember when I used to own a regular Game boy, it had a MK game...which I forgot which one it was. And I remember the robocop game for GB and SEGA Genesis o_O |
Speaking of Gameboy, in kindergarten, my backpack was shaped and looked like a gameboy, had no outer pockets, just one zipper. The buttons weren't thick or anything, it was a flat picture, but it was the coolest thing ever. And I had a gameboy watch in 3rd grade. Whenever someone saw it hough they'd be like THATS SO NEAT LOOK IM PLAYING IT in reality it was a small Digital watch with no pixels, just the numbers game and watch style, there's no games on it or even room for a decent screen, it's just numbers but no one seemed to understand that.
We used to have a black & white computer with Windows 3.1 on it, my mom got it from her work because they didn't want it anymore. It was awesome at the time, because before that we had a really bad dos computer that only had 2 colors: Black, and orange. It did have some use though, you could play some DOS games on it, such as Concentration, Monopoly, and OverKill. Anyways, after the windows 3.1 computer, we finally got a real computer, with windows 95 on it, it came with some cd's, one of them being Nickelodeon 3D movie maker. I used to play that ALL the time, spending weeks trying to figure out how to make the mouths move to words, how to make 2 characters/objects move at the same time, until I was making my own scenes out of Letter props (usually periods and lowercase L's, make for good shapes) and applying the limited text textures to them. The scenes are prerendered, so making them on your own, you could practically have any angle you want, but it's tough work, didn't do it much. My favorite thing to do was make one character huge and causing mayhem in the city scene..
Then after that I started playing Duke Nukem, and I played it a lot. I wouldn't dare NOT using god mode, I knew the codes from word of mouth because I found someone else who played the game too. Makes me want to download the windows port of it I heard about just for nostalgia.. My favorite level was probrably "Duke Burger" because the premise was that the bad guys (aliens) infiltrated the resteraunt, and you go inside, pretty soon you'll be in the employee only area, and theres this butcher-type area with a bloody table, and on the wall theres a picture of a dog showing you where to cut and stuff. Plus the strippers in the game were a thrill to me, I was probrably like 9 or 10 when I was playing this.
Me and my friend used to play diddy kong racing all the time
and I remember buying Banjo Kazooie with my own money after reading about it in a game magazine
in like 6th grade I remember my friends brother telling me some of the codes in diddy kong racing and I was amazed. And for a while I thought Taj was an unlockable character, and that you could ride on his magic carpet..
my first time playing ocarina of time...
starfox 64...
those were good times.
My first video game was super mario bros, I used to play it with my dad, and sometimes with my sister. We would always chant "die.. die.. die.. die.." while the other was playing since you don't get a turn until the other person dies or falls in a hole.
I learned the word "doomed" from my dad while in the castle of world 5, I don't know why I know it was world 5, it probrably wasn't, but something makes me think it was 5. It was a pattern one where you can go down a grey pipe and theres a water level.
Me and my dad always used to play Blaster Master (we called it Master Blaster because it sounds cooler) and skate or die, among others. I still have all the games and play them on my generation nex.
I don't have my super nintendo anymore because it got stolen. Our (old house) house was robbed before by mexicans but they didn't take much, just a couple vcrs, the super nintendo with all the games except super mario world ( I think they dropped it) my *first* nintendo 64, which I like just got it so I only had 2 games, diddy kong racing and yoshi story, but they left yoshi story too, I almost thought they had something against yoshi's because yoshi is on both the covers.. anyways yeah.
but anywho to spare my life story thats a lot of good times I remember..
