GOD SOMEONE PLEASE HELp ME, MOnitor problems

♫♫♫ Group: Members Posts: 478 Member No.: 401 Joined: 2-May 04 Status: (0d)	My GOD... today, my monitor's been randomly switching to 8-bit colors / 256 colors. I keep changing it back to 32-bit, but then it keeps switching back! Does anyone know how to stop this or what it is?

System resore can be reset back to whenever it started, you'll only lose everything after that point.

I suggest you call your tech support. Even though often times they are inept at their job and/or have a crazy Indian accent you can't understand, they'd be better at finding the problem than us. It'll change to the BIT amount it can support. Atleast that's what my dad says. Is eMachines Notebook old? I'm not sure how else to help you exept get a better notebook or live with it. Other than that, you could try going to a hardware store and asking for help. --------------------

I'd try replacing the video drivers first.

System restore is also not supposed to affect your data files. It will break newly installed software though. Downloaded install files and other EXEs would also almost certainly vanish.

It's quite new, I just got it for Chirstmas.

And I don't think it has to do with sites I'm looking at, it just seems to randomly do it, whether I'm online or not.
