You just said we shouldn't bother because you don't care. Why do you care now?

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not upset or anything. I just don't particularly want to hear what Rex thinks about my sprites, in part because I'm not very fond of his rating system. I find it odd that he seems to dislike most of my sprites yet I still warrant a 6/10 (thanks for rating them that high though ).

No big deal, though personally, you like the Raven better than the Cystal Berry, Rex? O_o I thought the Crystal Berry was the best item on that sheet, along with the Fire Flower.

And items aren't my forte.

-Slam--Fine, but a little off on shape and proportion.

-SMG--Go for a little different shading.

-Cirtusponge--Good, but a little puffy though.

-SM--Exellent, but a little basic looking.

-SP--to much detail for a small space.

-123James--Looks kinda crammed in.

-Jaspile--Boxes are good, more detail on the items.

-DB--Look like their from Sonic.

-Shaw--What I said to 123James

-RII--Flat and shiny, I don't know what to say.

-Toni--A winner? Yeah...

-SNESFreak--A little bright.

Looks pretty Mario to me anyway.

May I ask what is wrong with detail? And the sprites are not small.

You're free to comment and all ... but if you're going to take the time to comment, at least ... say something.

What kind of comments are these?

"Looks soft"... is that a good or a bad thing?
"Looks like Sonic sprites"... I still have to see a Sonic game with this kind of sprites, and again, is this good or bad?
"A winner? yeah..."... A well thought out criticism? nah...
"Exellent, but a little basic looking."... I don't know what to make out of this. Is this a "good but bad" thing?

I updated my sheets, used a black boarder instaid of a colored one and tried my hand at the original Styled mushroom and flower so yea.

This was the original post date of the topic. So refrain from making a top 5 list until the 17th.

I must apologize that I have not been around to oversee this sprite competition, my full-time job and concurrent job hunt coupled with seeing my girlfriend, has allowed me little time...

However, I am very excited by what I am seeing. Many submissions, and many quality sprites.

Last, I will be making a submission. But I have been busy, so it will probably make an appearance tomorrow.
