Please hurry up. I need 26 more people to join the MKDS tourney of march break(for u college guys, the spring break counts as well) and i need 26 more people. PLZ READ MY RULES IN NETBATTLE TOURNEY BEGIN! TOPIC.

Here are the rules copied from Netbattle tourney BEGIN!:


Im starting a MKDS race tourney. Just like in Graal, u change your game nickname to "Spar Guy" and u create an emblem that says your username on this forum and add everyone i have in my MKDS wi-fi poll to my list of competitors.


The rules: Four lucky people will race every 2 hours. When the person with the most wins( U have 2 keep track of your wins and post em at my poll) a total of 5 wins, u change your name to "Inter Guy" until 16 other people become Inter guy. Inter guy means u are in quarter finals until u make another 5 wins in a wi-fi quarter final match.


If people who are accidentaly spar tourney or master guy( if u are in semi finals) join matches for inter guys, you will have 2 log off. If someone cant make inter guy after 16 others do, youre eliminated. The same goes for inter guys. If u cant make master guy, youre eliminated if 4 people become master guy.


When master guy, u must win 10 races this time. When 2 are finalist( Your name in the finals) the other 2 are eliminated. Then, the finalists will race head 2 head for a total of 15 races. Once someone wins 15 races, they become the MARIO KART CHAMP.


OTHER RULES:

-When u advance, u must lock peoples names in your friends list so u dont race them by accident only if they dont advance OR are far ahead of u.

-You post notes in my poll to tell who is in or out.

- The tourney will begin with 30 people and will begin on monday, the first free day of March Break this year.

-Post your messages in my poll if u are out or in OR there is something wrong.

SNAKING IS NOW LEGAL IN THE RACE! JOIN TODAY!!.

Once i have 30 people, i will start the tourney in March Break 2006 so we can have some fun.

I will not join anything where snaking isn't allowed. (Even if I suck at it and almost never do it)

Even though I probably wouldn't join this anyway...

Lots of MKDS racer don't really know how to snake, so they do racing the old fashion way.

It's silly to ban snaking, simply because it's a function of powersliding. It'd be more effective to ban certain karts.
(Plus you need to be very specific on what snaking is, otherwise there will be arguments that using 3 mini-turbos is snaking, while using 2 is ok, in which snaking WILL be replaced by the next best thing, so it's ... too arbitrary.) Just ban the karts if you don't want it XD.

Banning none-definite strategies like this is too arbitrary, Especially due to the fact that you can't really tell if someone's mini-turboing on wifi anyway.

And how are you gonna ban a certain way of winning until the finals, the point of tourneys is to play with no holds barred XD.

Precisely. Especially on some tracks, you can just be power-sliding like normal, and it'll look like your snaking.

Banning snaking is banning powersliding because that's all snaking is.

Check no snaking rule now. Its really been changed.
