Trasher, the Moderator

And yet here you are, going on about how a mod shouldn't act like the rules don't apply to him.

I also think, even though it was a lighthearted comment and most likely a joke or maybe sarcasm, Duckboy brings up a good point.

What do you expect to happen to him? He's one of our best mods on this board. "Warning" himself certainly won't solve a thing, and I'm sure the other admins can give him a "stern talking-to," but the damage is already done and they've already let him go ahead and speak his mind with no problem for such a long time.

Personally, I don't see the problem. Don't break the rules, and you won't be treated like absolute tish. *shrug*

The only real problem I've seen with Trasher is he has grudges.

See, he insults the people that WE all insult in all the subtle ways. The only difference is, he's much harsher. And then when some hypocrite goes and complains about the things he says... I don't know. That's just..

I can't even think of a word to describe it. I think you just need to step back and look at yourself in the mirror.

I never said anything about other people NOT having grudges. I was just pointing out I've seen some cases where him and another member go at it.

I still don't see your point. He's no different than the rest of us. Yet, we don't get our POSTING privaledges taken away, so should he get his MODERATOR powers taken away?

I think he does a fine job of modding...but should he be allowed to break the rules? Flaming is flaming, regardless of how stupid the person on the other end is.

Again, I never said anything about him losing his mod powers.

Just putting another point out there into the field. Because we all know we're all thinking about it.

Sorry, I started that whole mod thing. :X

But anyway, I too don't see what could possibly happen to him. Only a few members of the administration have posted in this topic thus far, and it has usually been to steer the topic away from derailment.

I will side with some of you however, by saying that I honestly don't see what can be achieved out of this topic. SP, is your plan for the admins to have a talk with him and give him a warn, or just a yellow card?

And by the way, let's refrain from ragging on SP, that'll only drive this topic further of the runway. It's not "How hypocritical SonicProject can be in a single post" it's about "Trasher's job as a moderator".

The only problem I have with him is that he can be pretty rude. But other than that, I love his responsiveness, I wish all the mods/admins were like that.

I respond to reports when I have time but between my job and IRL things, as well as various hobbies and activities I can't always respond to things instantly after they happen.

It's a good thing we have a mod that doesn't live in the USA. He does his job well, but his attitude is sometimes a bit bad.

I only have a problem with when he locked that topic in the PPP about the cheetos and the chinese woman. What was the point in that? I've seen much stupider anecdotes in the PPP that went untouched, so why start locking and insulting the people who make them now?

And yet here you are, ignoring the fact that Duckboy was poking fun at me first. Also, I'm not a mod, so I don't understand what it has to do with the way Trasher insults people and bans people for spamming in the PPP nor does it have anything to do with insulting edits or any other crap. So continue to prod at me, but it won't do you any good.

Trasher does this for very minor things and often for rules that don't exist. Perhaps you should actually take a look at the links instead of taking your time to stand on the soap box you always get on whenever you have a chance to complain about me. Locking a topic and calling someone a moron for a pointless topic in the PPP. Warning someone else for the same thing... in the PPP. And just plain being a flaming asshole at every turn. I'd see what you were saying if what he was doing was even remotely lighthearted humor, but it's not. And I really don't see how you can justify such ludicrous behavior.

Why should a mod warn anyone for breaking the rules when he does it himself (and quite often I must add)?

You still don't see the problem? That's fine but I'm not asking you. This report is for the admins and only came to the board because the PMs got confusing.


Any further comment on me being a mod or anything about me and not Trasher, save it. Otherwise, I'll request the topic locked.


Oh and the point of this topic is to get him to stop, not to get him fired. I thought I already explained that in the first post.

Hmm, I personally think that Trahser is doing his job well, but some of his actions are just plain stupid.
