i feel like my ideas are being copied

I hate it when people call my character Jonah a Luigi ripoff. But really, i know i'm wrong, but it feels like nintendo is actually copying my ideas! I'll give you some examples: Jonah has a friend, who can control thunder. I m&l luigi has the same skill. And m&l came out many years after i created him. The second example: I made Jonah a hammer for a weapon. A while after that i played MarioRPG and i noticed that Mario had a hammer too. The third example: I created evil clones for Jonah and his friend. And suprise,suprise! Mario and Luigi also had evil twins, Wario and Waluigi. It feels like everytime i come up with something new, a while after that i find out that Nintendo has done almost completely same thing. And then people say i'm copying ideas from Mario. Damn i hate that!

...This is going to sound harsh, but your ideas weren't original to begin with. He controls thunder? So do a bunch of other characters. Electromancers (a term I just now made up) are pretty much a stock character in video games. Likewise, you didn't exactly invent the hammer, nor did you innovate its use as a weapon. And the concept of evil twins is millenia old (and I'd like to point out that Wario and Waluigi are not Mario and Luigi's twins).

My character BAD CAT for example.

but you can clearly se stuff like that in Comic book's and cartoon's.
Diffrent Cartoon but almost same "plot".
but do you realy thing they steal ides from each other ALL the time?
Maby Some do, but i seriosly don't think EVERY One do's.

one guy get's an idea and another guy get's the same idea on the other sine of the planet.

this show's that the human mind is kinda equal.

People compare Tragic to Gollum... The only thing that I find remotely similar is their choice of clothing...

Mario first used a hammer in the original Donkey Kong.

Wario and SMRPG were created before Jonah, therefore, you copied them, not vice-versa. Unless of course, if Nintendo somehow went to the future, and stole everything from Jonah.

Jonah has the same facial structure as Mario. Big eyes, large round nose. His hair looks almost exactly like Link's old brown hair. He can shoot fire from his hands. He has a white circle with a J on it, just like Mario and Luigi's caps. If Nintendo really did copy Jonah, which I HIGHLY DOUBT, you are far more guilty, since the reasons I just gave pretty much confirm that Jonah is a huge ripoff of Mario and Luigi.

Also, please explain this...If you started Jonah before the release of M&L:SS, then how are you still working on Chapter 1?

Considering Mario and Luigi have controlled fire forever; it's not so surprising they would give Luigi a different element for Mario&Luigi on GBA.

Somehow I doubt you gave or create "Jonah" before Mario wielded a hammer in Donkey Kong (1981)

Or that you also came up with the idea of an evil twin character first; this has been done an infinite number of times for just about every video game character out there. MegaMan, Mario, Link, Sonic, Bomberman, even some Pokemon have evil versions of themselves. That isn't -new- or anything you could get onto anyone for. And even if you -could-; AGAIN Nintendo's creations must predate yours by years, because Wario debuted in Super Mario Land 2 (1992)

Your "original" character, blatantly looks like Luigi; at least from your avatar. And despite any minute differences, you have to understand that the aesthetics are going to count for more than anything else. Example?

See what I mean? You're either going to have to realize your first character creation isn't necessarily your best, or that if you want to get recognition for making someone up, you need to have something a little more different in mind.

While most of your post makes sense, I don't even see how that last point is even relevant to the current issue.

I'm asking him why it's taken him over two years to finish chapter 1 of a comic.

He says he started Jonah BEFORE Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga's release. Which was in 2003. Now, in 2006, he hasnt even finished Chapter 1 of Jonah. That's quite odd.

It's possible to develop an outline for your character and/or script for a comic/fangame, years before you actually even put it on to paper.

Many characters have big eyes, but Jonah's nose isn't as large as mario's.
Yes, he can shoot fire, but only from his right hand, and it isn't caused by a fire flower. I have a story behind it. And he has a white circle with a J, you're right about that. But so do all the other characters in the story, and they doesn't look like mario at all. But i may get rid of the circle, though.
And if you know so well when i created Jonah, tell us whe i did!
Also, i created Jonah before the comics!!! I made the CHARACTER many years before m&l!

I've been working on a story idea for the past two years and I'm barely done with all the beginning details. :P

Let me sum it up:

Your character's a cliche. Dopplegangers have been around for years. Nintendo hasn't been 'copying' your ideas.

But Jonah, one more question. Why is not copying for Jonah to have huge eyes but it IS copying for Luigi to have thunder powers? Your reasoning doesnt seem to make much sense...

And also, you said you learned about Wario and Waluigi after you made Jonah's doppelgangers. How have you NEVER heard about or seen Wario before until then?
