I'm not saying your wrong, but my dad and I rented this movie two weeks ago and didn't get even 20 mins into it before shutting it off.

Nightmare before Christmas isn't really underrated. It's in a good position between over and under rated. Sometimes, it becomes overrated.

I've never understood this sort of statement, especially when it comes from somebody who possibly considers himself a movie critic. You can't "quit" on a movie, you have to see the whole work before you can pass judgment. Right now, the only thing you should be qualified to say if you want to continue writing "Movie Munchies" is that "you did not finish the film but your initial impressions were not pleasant".

Granted, you didn't write a review for Lost World, so your behavior is somewhat excusable.

Do they even get to the dinosaur island in the first 20 minutes?

It's a movie about people on an island full of dinosaurs. I'd at least get to the part where that plot device comes into play before I wrote it off.

Evil Dead is quite highly rated by the horror critics. I think Evil Dead is a brilliant film. The sequels are good fun but I thought the original was the best. Nice and gorey.

I love A Bug's Life. Probably my favourite pixar film, well that and Monsters Inc.

Gourry, Zelgadis, Amelia and Xellos help make the Slayers series what it is and each one has their own distinct personality--not necessarily original in their own rights, but combined with the fact that Slayers is, for the most part, a parody series, it takes their behavior and turns it into something full of awesome. Naga, however, is as original as Zel and the rest, except there's no way to parody a parody, making her any funnier. Watching Naga in action is like watching Jesse from Pokémon, if James and Meowth weren't there to make her not suck. (Ironically enough, both Jesse and Naga are voiced by Rachel Lillis. But I digress.) However, if you want to talk about underrated Slayers movies, Slayers: Premium is as underrated as it gets.

Oh and on the side, no Hayo Mizaki film is ever underrated, ever. Including Howl's Moving Castle, which, to this day, DeviantArt still has advertisements all over the gotdamn place for.

Slayers Premium is only like half an hour long though, and they called it a movie! The octopus talk was great, though, and my friend Chris played the English voice of Gourry! ^_^; But I find Naga to be a far more entertaining and thoughtful character than all the older characters put together and the perfect Yin to Lina's Yang, and I'll always watch the 6 OVA episodes and 4 movies sooner than I'll watch the series.

Yeah we got about 40 mins into it now that I ask him. I also skipped to the last scene of the dino in SF. That was pretty good too.


But it ate the doggie. :<


Mugenmidget what is your deal? I can damn well quit any movie I want too.

Matrix Revolutions; but only because it has a decent message about human spirit, and one of the best fight scenes ever. It's hard to argue the earliest minutes are anything but hype

I really wanted to like the Matrix sequels since I found the premise so interesting...a shame they didn't live up to the first one, but I can still watch them, they're not THAT bad
