Wireless trouble, with the pokemon games, plz help

Ok, so me and Ladyjester have 2 sapphire games. We also have 2 wireless adapters to trade with (you know the ones you get with leaf green and fire red?).
Anyway, we tried to trade using them, but they don't work. Do they just work with Fire Red and Leaf Green, or can they work with sapphire, too?
If you CAN only use them with FR/LG, then I guess we're gonna need to look for money in the couch to buy a trading link. =P

Keatongirl; no the Ruby and Sapphire games are not compatible with the wireless adapter at all, sadly =/

You can use the wireless adapters to distribute infinite copies of Classic NES Series titles like Mario, Dr. Mario, and Ice Climbers...

Trade/battle with 16 players in the Union Room between Pokemon Emerald, Fire, or Leaf...

But the wireless adapter does not allow for say, communication between a DS and GBA (even with compatible wireless GBA games). Nor does it substitute the link cable in any unsupported game. =(

(still thinks it would have been cool if DS wireless could have subbed for the link cable)

Me and Aranthur were going to play Kirby and the Amazing Mirror with these until we found out that they only worked with certain games. I was so pissed
