The lines are all jagged ad crap, but I'm working on another image that has significantly better linework despite it being done from scratch.

I never did learn how to use that thing. The pic is good though. It looks glossy, and smooth.

Looks a bit simple.

Yeah, I kinda stopped trying to overcomplicate my drawings a while back

Looks a bit simple.

Simple is not always a bad thing. Especially for cartoony drawings.

You have more patience than me, I could never tolerate the pen tool. The drawing looks nice. The jagged lines actually give it a neat style if you ask me.

The lines don't look to jagged IMO. However, you did a very good job coloring it. VERY good job. I love it biggrin.gif

I like it... Very good job. I love the shiny shading.

But would you mind explaining why the lines look jagged (Just out of interest)? The pen tool does the curving for you, and last I checked the lines are fairly smooth. Correct me if I'm wrong, of course.

Is this the illustrator pen tool? For if it is, it is a tool that requires planning ahead, and the use of it's best friend the vector curve tool. You basically have to lay out a jagged shape, and then make it smooth with curving.

Unless this is photoshop. Then nevermind.

I've played with the photoshop pen tool - it's the only way I can make something look halfway decent because my linework is REALLY bad freehand.

It looks good to me, I hardly notice any 'jaggedness', and even then, I'd chalk it up to the style.

Some of the straightaways, like the sleeves, and the head kind of have that problem.

@Doc: This is actually Photoshop CS's pen tool.

Good use of the Photoshop pen tool, Kitsune, though personally I prefer using Illustrator's pen tool. I have the patience to use that thing.
