He'd have to do it to about 30% of MFGG.

So? Those who knew deserve it, you don't get off with nothing if you're an accessory to a crime, especially if it's a malicious one that could've been prevented. Only way you get off is if you dob them in, you get good behaviour. I'd ban all your asses for a few days at least.

While I can see your reasoning, I don't agree with you, if only because I would be affected by your (Indignation) Judg(e)ment.

In some towns, and some entire countries, they have a law that states that not attempting to stop an unlawful act is unlawful in itself.

But we don't have that law here, now do we?

However, some may argue those that knew about it and decided not to help the admins for a very long time wasted their time. And that could be seen as helping the cause of the "phisher." In part, they (and I mean you) would be just as guilty as those that DID the act if you didn't even give up their names. And instead of them being permabanned, you would be. Which wouldn't be fair on your part, but it wouldn't be the admin's problem, you'd have to take that up with your "good buddy" Mugen who, if that happened, would let you take the rap for what he did without him fessing up.

It almost came to that. He's a real cool guy, ain't he?

But, now, there's no point in punishing you for the time that you wasted. You'd still be as rude as ever, if not even more bitter. But that's for another topic.

MFGG can and does make up and enforce rules on the fly.

There's no written rule against phishing for passwords. Closest thing to that is the Additional Note against HTML abuse (which is not really close at all).

edit: or the Multiple Accounts rule

MFGG has not updated their written rules for like a year.

I thought "8.) DON'T MAKE TOPICS ABOUT SPAMMING OTHER BOARDS. " was pretty recently added.

This supports my point anyway. The rule saying that rulebreaking must be reported could have been added years or seconds ago (or never).

I thought it WAS HTML abuse

Of course this is probably the reason why MM was pushing for those Wifi card things

he probably knew how to exploit the iFrames they used

He didn't exploit iframes. There's two other tag types that can be exploited however: object and embed.

I guess I could.

And I know that Mugen will try to come back, somehow.
