| QUOTE (Draco Icebane @ Apr 22 2006, 11:52 AM) | While I can see your reasoning, I don't agree with you, if only because I would be affected by your (Indignation) Judg(e)ment.
In some towns, and some entire countries, they have a law that states that not attempting to stop an unlawful act is unlawful in itself.
But we don't have that law here, now do we? |
However, some may argue those that knew about it and decided not to help the admins for a very long time wasted their time. And that could be seen as helping the cause of the "phisher." In part, they (and I mean you) would be just as guilty as those that DID the act if you didn't even give up their names. And instead of them being permabanned, you would be. Which wouldn't be fair on your part, but it wouldn't be the admin's problem, you'd have to take that up with your "good buddy" Mugen who, if that happened, would let you take the rap for what he did without him fessing up.
It almost came to that. He's a real cool guy, ain't he?
But, now, there's no point in punishing you for the time that you wasted. You'd still be as rude as ever, if not even more bitter. But that's for another topic.

| QUOTE (Citrus @ Apr 22 2006, 11:26 AM) | | There's no written rule against phishing for passwords. Closest thing to that is the Additional Note against HTML abuse (which is not really close at all). |
I thought it WAS HTML abuse
Of course this is probably the reason why MM was pushing for those Wifi card things
he probably knew how to exploit the iFrames they used
