Director Barry Sonnenfeld. You may not know his name but he has produced some great movies. (Addams Family and it's sequal, Get Shorty, Men and Black and it's sequal, and Wild Wild West) While these are not classics I expected more of him. This movie isn't bad, but it's a family movie. Meaning that a lot of jokes are targeted towards younger kids. Robin Williams is his usual self in this picture. And the only actor I found really funny was Josh Hutcherson.
The movie's plot is full of holes, such as "You don't have to go there, we're all ready here!" And no matter how much fun you have in a RV your kids are not going to just suddenly want to live in one within an hour or so. It did a few good one liners but that was mostly Williams.
Basicly the movie was a family movie with good values. But who the hell wants that?
