United 93, Where were you?

I don't give a **** about what anyone says, I am damn proud to be an American.

That's how this movie left me feeling. This is the best movie I've seen in recent years. 9/11 was the first real tragedy in my life, or the first I remember. This may have something to do with why I liked this movie, but we were all there that faithful day. The movie does not or should not offend anybody. It is a dramatic tale of the people who stood up, knowing they were going to die anyway, and saved the lives of hundreds.
The movie was constructed by cell phone calls, and other evidence with some fiction filling in the blanks. Any fiction however, does not relate to anything substantial. The film is not to make a profit, it's clear once you see it that Paul Greengrass made this film to remember those to who died that day. He also did not use any real live actors such as Nicolas Cage in the other upcoming 9/11 movie this year. You actually feel they are real people, which they were.
In the movie the terrorists do not seem like bad people. They're not the cigar smoking old guy who has a plan to rule the world. They are believable and they get the job done. Another thing I like about this movie is it doesn't send a message of Bush knowing about it or other propaganda. It is a story about people fighting for their lives. The ending was perfect and left you deep in thought.
Was the world ready for this movie? It's been only five years, and everyone I'm sure can still remember what they were doing that Tuesday morning. As it showed the second plane hitting the south tower I heard people behind me wispering; "Oh god" Whether or not you are ready, this is the film to see.

Yes, that is a 10/10 on the much more strict scale.

The whole situation is entirely controversial--so it's hard for somebody to say "this film is a lot like what happened, though it had some fictional elements".

Nobody knows exactly what happened on that (or those) flights, so for all we know, it could be a fabrication; or it could be a film portraying a much bigger incident that can be crammed into a feature length film.

This isn't a 'survivor' of the 9/11 plane crash--it's simply a movie director's interpretation.

It still looks as it's appealing to Hollywood, and not the happy go lucky politician--not an entirely factual illustration of the events (please correct me if I'm wrong).

I might see it. I'm just sort of burnt out on the whole 9/11 thing. I've seen, and heard many crazy theories, and plausible ways the crimes were commited--I don't know if I can bare to see another.

Not sure I like the sound of watching something really patriotic and American, as tragic as 9/11 was.

Well the fact is that it presents pretty much the only logical way it could have happened. Anything major in the film is taken from phone calls by the people. Of course they could have lied, but why would they do that? There's no action scenes made up just for a movie's sake.

We'll never know exactly what happened, but I have a very good feeling this is damn close.

I'm guessing this is a movie history teachers will show in the next generation...when 9/11 is in the history books.

I am American, and I am proud and embarrassed to be one at the same time. Proud in the sense that if you are not proud of being American, you are a terrorist, which I am not. I'm Embarrassed because of how we present ourselves as a whole to the other countries of the world.

Where I was when it happened? I woke up, my dad had the news on and I saw a video of a smoking building I had never heard of before. I noticed that there was an Identical building right next to it. Then I went to school, and every class was just boring; boring as in we watched the news in every class.

Then I remember hearing of another plane crashing into the 2nd building. To me, I was expecting that to happen, so no surprise there. I went home that day, to find out that 2 other planes crashed somewhere in the middle of nowhere, and crashed into the pentagon.

Then I went home and went to sleep and stuff, and thus my life was normal. It did not effect me in any way, so I just brushed it off as nothing special.


Mario Gamer, your review of the movie is based on how you feel about the events of 9/11, and not on the movie itself. It is a biased review, and you have stated nothing about how the movie plays out, or how the people stood up, just the emotions it invokes in you. It is biased.

I will not be seeing this film, although when it comes to DVD, all of my history classes next year will most likey show it to us, as they have done with "Pearl Harbor", which uses "real live" actors such as "Ben Afflek(no cares about spelling that name right)" and "Cuba Gooding" and other stuff.

With that, the last time I went to see a movie was when Team America: World Police came out. There have been no worthy movies to go out and spend $8.00 that could be used for Food and Gas instead.

Anti Drug Man... all reviews are biased... because they are based on opinion. You either like a movie or hate it. And the feelings in between are affected by it. No reviewer can say they write without bias... because opinions ARE bias.

Tuesday morning? I thought it was on a wednesday. The class I was in at the time usually occured on wednesdays, and the cable went out because of a recent thunderstorm, so we had no announcements that week, but the teacher got a phone call from one of his friends or something and he was like "I think something big just happened.." He managed to get a TV with an antannae to work and they showed a couple replays of what happened and the kids were like "**** man!" ont really realizing the terriblness but more like "DANG LOOK AT THAT EXPLOSION"


Then a lot of kids got to leave early that day

I don't think you read very well, the second sentence is; "That's how this movie left me feeling."
The movie is about the events of 9/11, so I don't understand how you didn't see that coming. I didn't go through the movie because people should have a basic idea of what did happen. It just runs through that day and then goes back to flight 93 at the end. I want people to know that this movie is not an action movie or one with heros. The line "Let's Roll" isn't focused on, it's just said in the background. There is no slow motion effects when they charge on the terrorists. Just regular everyday heroes.

And how is it that biased? You want me to side with the terrorists?

So yeah, I'm not gonna be seeing this movie.

All I know is my that mother REALLY won't be seeing this because it affected her very adversly, IE living in New York all her life before moving to Indiana 19 years ago

Me, I was taking f***ing state standardized testing, when I walked into the other room to stretch and stuff then I saw it on TV while everyone was watching.

I was nine years old when that happened...to those people... who don't deserve anything better thant to all be labled heros... EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM. God only knows how things would've gone if that plane intending to hit the White house, made it's target..... Those people didn't die in a hyjacking... they died for ameirica they fought for ameirica with bracery that can never be supassed....ever again.

Anyway, i was JUST getting in my mom's car to goto school when the radio reported there had been an attack on the World Trade Center in New York, we just fell dead silent. We had a moment of silence at school.. Later at my fathers i learned that a plane had struck the pentagon aswell.

How can we forget 9/11? Why are we not suppourting the Freedom Tower? Odd thing is i dealt with 2 Natural disasters that year the 2001 earthquake in Seattle, which was very terrifying, and.....9/11.

Oh, and where was I? In school. Damn nazi teachers wouldn't let us watch it on TV because some kids with family in New York might get upset (probably a good reason, but still). That's middle school for you.
