DUCKBOY REPORTING IN

Okay. I'm finally done with my entry. My entry is 4 different backgrounds. First off, if you want the sprite sheet for them, it is in this zip file (Thanks to Klobber for hosting it): http://hocuspocus.penguinia.net/staff/klob...pritesheets.zip

So if you want to see the sprite sheet, go to the link. Below are how the 4 backgrounds/tilesets/whatever you want to call them, would look as a level.

1) Generic Mario Castle level. (One I didn't make up)
2) Cheese Mountain
3) Micron Zone (Pretty much original. It doesn't really look like the sml2 one)
4) Blueberry Hill

Micron Zone is a bit funky. You have books/blocks that are rotated to the left and show the right side, and objects that are rotated right and show the right side.

This would normally be fine, except the later's shown sides would be brighter than the earlier's, since they're closer to the light source.

Well I DID kinda have space restraints. I had to fit the window in there, and the books. I didn't really factor in the light source too much for the example.

You should have done to the blocks what you did to the books. =O

It's always impressive how many people manage to use message boards without being able to read. tongue.gif

Damn you people. Everytime I see one of these new backdrops that kicks ass, I think "I need a level like that for SME2." That game... is never going to be finished sad.gif.

EDIT: Namely I'm thinking about Toni and Duckboy's entries.

And if it is it will be a game of epic proportions.

Namely really big filesize.

The source file is something around 7 or 8 MB right now (but I managed to get it compressed pretty well).

DONE

Alright, here's the sheet.

..And the sample level.

No, it's not a screenshot from Super Mario Saga. If it was, it'd be a little more..neater. And it'd have a background.

EDIT: Level fixed because there was something wrong about that vine hanging from those logs. . .
