Sony Press Conference

My friend just called me and told me all about it. It basically functions the same way the Wii controller does. Lame.

If it doesn't have the unique pointing stuff, then I guess it isn't that innovative. I used a controller like that at my uncle's house. In 2001.

That whole conferance was a joke.

hahaha the price is absolutely ridiculous. f**k that noise in the face.

I hope they port MGS4 to another console, this is sucking. I'm seeing very little else about the console that I like.

It's lower then what I was guessing. I thought it'd be nearly $1000.

All I have to say is this:
Something tells me that if nintendo doesn't pull something really badass tomorrow, the Wii will be f**ked. Pun intended.

I doubt they'll show off anything really new, but if they don't show at least something relating to super smash bros. 3, I'm going to be pissed off.

Wii has more support for the motion sensitive stuff than Sony does so far.

They just didn't wait long enough. They should have waited untill tomorrow. It wouldn't have killed us.

I really don't think Wii is in THAT much hot water... after all with a price point of $500 for the PS3...

I don't think you people are looking that deep: technically speaking, the PS3 controller is little like the Revolution controller. The Revolution supports the click/pointing feature, as to where the PS3 controller is just Wario Ware Twisted in a Dual Shock. Not only that, but the Wii dev kits came complimentary with the easy-to-program-for motion senstitive controller; the PS3 controller's features are a subsitute, or an un-required addition that developers can use.

I don't get why everybody's complaining. Now we have two awesome innovative consoles rather than one. We're bound to see great things with both.

Nintendo has no coffin being built. They will remain profitable, while remaining in last place--something Sony could never dream of doing.

The problem is that 500-600 dollars is way too much for any normal person.

Yeah after thinking about it for a while, it seemed different than Nintendo's.

How is that relevent to my post?

On a side note, people on the ever-so-reliable IGN Insider forums are saying that Nintendo (judging by Gamespot's updated conference schedule) just added 30 minutes of extra dialouge to their conference. If this is true, I'm really curious if Reggie is planning to rip Sony's asshole open, or reveal this ever so glorious "super secret" that the Wiimote has in store for us.

That being said, while Sony certainly has the showman's advantage, with glossy technical specs, and Sega Genesis-esque catch phrase bull****, Reggie is a brilliant speaker.
