Group: Members Posts: 18964 Member No.: 287 Joined: 15-February 04 Status: (0d)	Sorry to double post, but I thought this comment from a moderator at the IGN Insider PS3 forums would be appropriate to post: This isn't about which console is superior, it's just a fact I thought I'd clear up since Sony was trying to be deceitful. The PS3 controller only detects motion. The sensor bar which Kutaragi dissed is an irreplacable (and propbably relatively expensive) part of the Wii controller technology. It allows the Wii to detect precisely in space where the controller is, even when it is not moving. This will allow for much greater free hand functionality (such as precise aiming in first person shooters). It's also meant to be held with one hand so unlike the PS3 controller. The Wii controller has an accelerometer in the nunchuk/analog stick part alone. Even so, the tilt sensor/accelerometer thingie in the DS3 should be a nice little addition for standard video games. It could be used in a lot of innovative ways in existing genres. --------------------

Several members on forums like the official Sony forum, and PS3 sections of IGN and Gamespot are just about as negative as the Nintendo forums. A lot of the claps I heard we nothing more than simple "golf claps". Hardly like what they got last year. Atleast they didn't pull this **** after the Nintendo conference; in that case, they would have obtained a smidgeon of attention. --------------------

...but why's the PSP gotta be so expensive! =/ I still don't plan to go near one. My DS will do me fine.

The controller has all of a sudden FOUR lights to show which port it uses! FOUR lights instead of the announced SEVEN. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm... "Download" "PS1-games" to your "PSP"?? As in "Virtual Console"? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM... What's next? "Size of 4 DVD cases", "Add-on funcionality", "Play GameCube games on your PS3"? I really don't like what Sony is doing there.... Althought the tilt thingy is just similar to the Wiimote... Next time Nintendo should show some REAL BAD crap before they bring out their console, then have Sony copy it and then change everything one day after PS4 was launched.
