Guild Wars?, :o

I find GW to be a stupidly fun glorified 3D Diablo II, and because I accidently crushed my Diablo II expansion CD under my computer chair a while back, I've only been playing GW when I wanted an online RPG.

I like MMORPGs, I do, but I personally can't stand WoW and how mainstream it is, crawling with idiots(not like GW is much better about that but at least you can turn off chat channels you don't want to hear and play it alone if you want), and I don't really have the money to pay for an MMORPG anyway.

Aaaaanyway. If anyone plays GW, the character I play with the most(my level 20 N/W meleemancer) is Akia Lithica.

That name sounds girly, you say. You would be correct, I play as a girl, because most the males on GW are downright fugly and I figure if you're going to be staring at any one character's ass for several hours at a time you might as well like what it looks like.

I don't have Factions yet but I plan to get it eventually. D:

I played it on Mecha's account. I didn't really like it. I enjoy Maple Story and Silkroad Online more. :[

WoW is better because Warcraft Lore and no level 20 cap.

It's not really comparable to WoW, because WoW is an MMORPG and Guild Wars is just an online RPG like Diablo II.
The level 20 cap is to make the whole leveling thing more casual and not a constant grindfest like most computer RPGs, and to level out the playing field for PvPers. Because everyone who PvPs is the same level with the same amount of stat points, there can never be an advantage because of a greater level and therefore greater power. It's all tactics. Call it "Diablo II meets Counter-Strike" if you will.

I play Guild Wars as an elementalist named San Relampago, who looks about as gay as your graphics card can possibly handle. It wasn't intentional, believe me.

I've been thinking about starting a new character. Don't know if I'm getting Factions, though.

PS I've WANTED to play this game sometime just for the hell of it but never got to it because pay-to-play (... right) and I didn't have the hot RAM I have now
