The Millenium Fight, Wii or PS3?

There's a 20GB HD version for $500 and a 60GB one for $600.

lol. who the hell would buy the 600 bucks version then, if it can't offer more than 40 GB of memory?

(Wii can connect to external hard drives via USB and I don't think that PS3 can't do that, so you could easily connect it to your PC's harddrive, no?)

All the way. If I wanted any PS3 games, I'd emulate them. No way I'd be supporting Sony by actually buying the PS3. That and I've always being a Nintendo fan boy, admittedly.

This war is already won. No PS3 for me. It's a 360 for 'normal gaming' if any.

The choice for me was never between PS3 and Wii because Sony's machine is just so damn expensive. I had been leaning toward Xbox 360 for some time, but thanks to E3 my faith in Nintendo has been restored.

PS3 is sort of experimental too, seeing as how Sony is sticking with an obscure and unreliable DVD protocol.

By the way, not only does the $500 system come with 40 gigs of less memory, but it's a significantly dumbed down system. It features less ports and less "out of the box" features alltogether, so I'm betting Sony's going to draw the same card Microsoft is by "appealing to casual gamers" with a subpar machine.

Casual or not, I don't know who the **** is going to buy a $500 novelty, unless they happen to be a rich little Johnny, believe that everything Ken Kutaragi ****s out is salvation, or appreciate a horrendus mix between Pilotwings and Wario Ware Twisted.

Unless they announce FFXIII for the Wii, that is my only reason to get a PS3.

By the time FFXIII, the PS3 should have at least one Price Drop.

Most of the graphics during the Sony presentation didn't live up the hype.

Metal Gear Solid 4 was prerendered, Genji 2 looked horrible, Gran Turismo HD wasn't even being PLAYED, and ironically, Sony's alleged "flagship" title, Killzone 2, never even made an appearance.

Eh I don't think so. They wouldn't have let there be such excessive slowdown otherwise (Hideo doesn't do choppy slow-mo like that either).

Really, you'd have to bring in people who are not already "gamers" into this to determine which system stole the most hearts. I doubt very many pretdetermined fans switched sides, both for Sony and Nintendo.

He openly admits that all of his teaser videos (including the MGS2 one that appeared at E3 2001) are prerendered. The difference between him, and say, Guerrilla Games, is that Kojima supplies an accurate representation of what the game will look like in final form.
